Our mission is to work towards the emergence of Hip Hop culture as a coalition of people and ideas that move us towards collective progress. Focusing attention on those within the Hip Hop community that work towards ideas of peace, justice and respect.
You heard people talk about the ‘ah-ha’ moment? Oprah might have done a show or two about it. I read it in a book by Donny Deutsch.
I think I may have just had one...or are you supposed to KNOW if you had one? Anyway, an ‘ah-ha’ moment has been had.
I’ve been thinking about what my unborn child will listen to...what music. Can’t just start him/her out on Redman. I’ve been trying to gather information on instrumental Hip Hop cd’s and I’m beginning to think that nothing like what I want is currently available. For certain there are instrumental cd’s that are available. They are not available to the majority of Hip Hop fans...’ah-ha’....
iTunes has Bob Marley Lullaby’s, U2, Coldplay, The Beatles, Kiss...no Hip Hop. No Jay-Z, Kanye, Eric B & Rakim, Nas, LL Cool J....’ah-ha’....let’s do that shit. Get The Legendary Roots Crew to make Lullaby cover albums in their spare time!? People all over the world raising their children to Hip Hop in a whole new way. The rhythm without the rhymes. Words are difficult enough for us adults to deal with, let alone a little baby.
Shit sounds dope to me. What about you? A lot of you probably don’t really care about what music your baby listens to. You’re cool with the pre-programmed tunes that come along with the product. That’s cool. I just like doing things different (possibly difficult)...especially when those things start out feeling like the ‘ah-ha’ moment...
